Here is the transcript of Richard's talk and Q&A: http://fsfeurope.org/projects/gplv3/bangalore-rms-transcript.en.html It is of the file "part-1.ogg", and I have not finished the last 12 minutes. I have to leave the office now, so I just wanted to put it online. I will finish the 12 minutes in the morning. I might do transcripts of other parts of the recordings, but I haven't decided yet. I will mail here if I decide to do further transcripts. If someone else decides to do a transcript, please also mail here to prevent two of us from doing the same work. One very easy way to raise awareness of the GPLv3 process is to pass that webpage URL to other mailing lists, and to submit it to news sites and to forums. About DefectiveByDesign We Oppose DRM! DefectiveByDesign.org is a broad-based anti-DRM campaign that is targeting Big Media, unhelpful manufacturers and DRM distributors. The campaign aims to make all manufacturers wary about bringing their DRM-enabled products to market. DRM products have features built-in that restrict what jobs they can do. These products have been intentionally crippled from the users' perspective, and are therefore "defective by design". This campaign will identify these "defective" products, and target them for elimination. Our aim is the abolition of DRM as a social practice. Software Freedome Day planning meet - 3pm Sunday 27th at Cubbon Park

Hi, We are planning several activities for the coming software freedom day ( http://softwarefreedomday.org/ ) ie, September 16, in Bangalore. Those who are interested to volunteer for the event can add their names to the wiki at http://fci.wikia.com/wiki/SFD/Bangalore/06 Even though we could not do much for the last SFD (05) ( http://fci.wikia.com/wiki/SFD/Bangalore/05 ) , the discussions lead to FOSS Month ( http://fci.wikia.com/wiki/Bangalore/FOSS_Month-2006 ) and FOSS EDU IN (http://fci.wikia.com/wiki/Education ). I hope we can take these initiatives to the next step and do better than last time. There is a meeting on Sunday 27th (tomorrow) 3pm at Cubbon Park (Enter from MG Road - Victoria statue gate) to finalise the activities. Looking forward to your support.
