Dear all,
I just subscribed to the ilug-cochin ML. I used the help command to see what changes I could do to my subscription but got very limited output -

I have subscribed to the Mailman 3 interface . We need to make people aware that they should sign up via the web-form and then subscribe and later make changes to settings.
IIRC, Mailman 2 does send you a mail telling you all of the above when you sign up a mailman 2 assisted mailing list.
This seems like a regression IMHO, but perhaps that is the reason the creation of ilugcochin hasn't been shared widely within the free software circles yet, even after 1 month of the mailing list being functional (or are you waiting for some more components of Mailman 3 to mature and update/upgrade to that ? )

Sign-up is optional, you can subscribe to lists without signing up.

The reason I asked is it isn't apparent at least for oldies like me (in mailing list sense) to know whether mails come in digest or in single reply mode as it has happened.
While I prefer the single mode instance, others may not.
a sub-query in this is, is there possibility of more options coming in help ?
I did see someone asking for feature parity to mailman 2.1
https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/issues/353 which sadly hasn't been answered.
Which means for most devs. it's a lower priority task :(
I do have couple of another queries/suggestions that I may take in another mail.
Thank you for the clarification.

Your subject says one thing and you mail content says another :) Yes ilug-cochin list sent out digest. By default every subscribers are receiving post by post. If you want only digest, I am afraid you have to sign-up and change settings. After signing up/login in go to mailman settings ( you can find in that in the drop down list on top right corner. Then go to "lists based preferences" and change the delivery mode.

AFAIK I haven't disabled any features. Its a full deploy. I don't understand what you are looking for.

You are more than welcome

Maybe this might shed more light -
https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/issues/353
I actually put the whole shebang of the number of options that a subscriber can/could do in a mailman 2.1 instance as a comment on the bug/issue. Because most of the options could be handled remotely.
I was able to do the changes, let's see how things change.
Maybe this is something that needs to be shared on the welcome to mailing list mail perhaps ?
