rpm - it is a command-line utility for managing packages on Unix/Linux systems


syntax
$ sudo rpm [option] [package_name]

To display full list of command 
$ sudo rpm --help

To install RPM packages
$ sudo rpm -ivh package_name

To install RPM package from URL
$ sudo rpm -ivh <package_URL>

To upgrade a RPM package
$ sudo rpm -Uvh <package_name>

To remove RPM package
$ sudo rpm -e <package_name>

To delete an RPM package without removing dependencies
$ sudo rpm -e --nodeps <package_name>

To view package information of a installed package
$ sudo rpm -qi <package_name>

To view information about a package prior to installation
$ sudo rpm -qip <package_name>

To check the dependencies of packages prior to installing 
$ sudo rpm -qpR <package_name>

To verify all installed packages
$ sudo rpm -Va

To verify a specific package
$ sudo rpm -Vp <package_name>

To display available documentation of an installed RPM package
$ sudo rpm -qdf <package_name>

To list all of the installed RPM packages 
$ sudo rpm -qa

To view a list of all the recently installed packages
$ sudo rpm -qa --last
