Hi All, I have installed RHL7.2 server on my system & I'm tring to install samba on it. Everything goes fine. I started the service properly & tried to access the server from my win m/c. I can see the server in it but I can't access the folders on the server I tried to give the following command on server, # smbclient -L -U username

here it asks me for the password

when I enter the proper password

it gives me error like,

Session setup failed: ERRSRV_ERRbadpw ( Bad

password - name/password pair in a Tree Connect

or session setup are invalid )

this is even for the root user

But the server accepts the anonymous user

& not the authorized user.

( this is not the case if I use rh7.1

everything goes properly. )

where i'm going wrong. I tried to read the

man pages for samba (man smb.conf )but could not get anything

I know that there is one file called smbusers

but I don't know what to add in it & where?

Can anybody help me out...?
