Could anybody here comment on kalculate.com and how it is when compared to Tally in terms of standard features, bugs, todolists, user feedback?
Also cometmedia.org's Krishnakant Mane has been making a python equivalent for customising gnucash to do accounting work for small businesses/organisations.
Anybody knows how these softwares are and are there any independent critics of the same who can tell the state of progress/development.
Making linux favorable for desktop users, specially small organisations means there must be an accounting package relevant to India.
The most resource constrained organisations are schools and colleges, training institutions etc but edubuntu, ltsp.org, moodle etc are hardly mentioned on most of our LINUX websites.
