U need a powerful machine with tons of ram to do
Hmmm! I have only quintals of ram in my machine. However I recollect
there was an editing software in the Mandrake 10.1 that I had earlier
just opened once but now I don't know its name.
If u have converted using M$ mpeg4 format u are done for good. As
usual M$ avi is on a nonstandard trip (or should that be rip) and
wont render with any non M$ codec. Take the original dvd and convert
on a linux box.
It is done in mpeg1 format as it was meant to be converted into a vcd.
VLC as well as LIVES can play the file but lives has that hanging problem.
