I brought the images down using azureus (bittorrent client) - it seems
to have broke in between - I've no notion of what time. The files show
their full sizes. How do I check if the files are intact. Are the
Checksums stored somewhere in the iso(s)? Could anybody help me with
the checksums?

do a 'md5sum' on the iso image and compare it with that published on
the site where you downloaded the image.
