how much those power book G4 cost? i checked apple
India, there they say its around Rs.1 lakh and more. are these
really all that costly? or there is something like lamington raod
for mac where i can afford to buy one.

And yes, Macs cost a lot more than a cheap PC. But if you are
looking at a branded higher end laptop, then the cost is
equivalent.

If you need long battery life and looks, Apple is better. In terms of
price/performance, I would recommend an Opteron, or an Athlon64 (

I haven't looked for an Althlon64 w/ a 15" LCD though.
