Not really an anti-Indian job. But nevertheless interesting. Ironic that the CCI cell's webpage itself is broken into. Do they need to be taught something about Linux? Can we do something?

Not necessarily. If they only followed the instructions available on their own site - keep up to date with the latest patches - this wouldn't happen. All they need to do is patch their version of IIS. They are using IIS/4.0, which we all know has loads of bugs.

I didn't really mean to say that Linux will be more secure etc. I was talking about educating them about Linux merely from the point of view that as members of LUG, can we use *this* opportunity to "get in"!?
Especially after knowing the the truth behind Flynn baba, it's a nice opportunity to do something, and prevent something similar in the future at the hands of some really nasty crackers ( esp. from Pak ), which might be embarrasing ( and it *is* embarrasing to all Indians! ). Flynn baba and his gang will make sure we get embarassed at the hands of those who'd want to show the security of Indian web-sites is down in the dumps.
BTW, how bad that CCI has so little expertise!
I think we must, approach CCC, Mumbai, and offer some help. Finally its our Mumbai [ read India too]. --SP
