tput - is used to query the terminfo terminal database and check if that terminal supports a specific feature.

To Execute Multiple tput Commands $ tput -S <<END

To Turn On and Turn Off Highlighting $ echo `tput bold`ilugc`tput sgr0` $ echo `tput sgr0`ilugc`tput sgr0`
