systemd-machine-id-setup - Initialize the machine ID in /etc/machine-id

To clear the original “machine-id” $ sudo rm /etc/machine-id

To create the new “machine-id” value $ sudo systemd-machine-id-setup

To verify the new value of machine-id. $ cat /etc/machine-id
