Software Freedom Day 2008 Celebrations

Kerala celebrated Software Freedom Day 2008 with a verity of programmes 1) The educational TV channel IT@School - Victors dedicated 20th September to broadcast programmes related to Free Software. Update on SFD: Team Swatantra - Christ University

Software Freedom Week at Christ University had participants from not only BCA, MCA, MSc-BSc Comp. Science Christ University but also from BMSIT as well. The entire week had students campaigning on the issue in many departments. An unique aspect is that it was primarily led by a dedicated team of girl students. Apart from the GNU/Linux installation session(this will be continued next week too) the "Swatantra Free Culture Showcase<http://swatantra.org/wiki/index.php?title=SwatantraFreeCultureShowcase>" was inaugurated.
