One more thing, AFAIK FSF doesn't believe in the
promotion of term ``Open Source''. Can someone give clarification on this issue?
The clarification has been made innumerable times, since the time ``certain" people decided the term ``Free Software" was not the ideal term and values of freedom would not find place in the software industry and among ``techies". The entire concept is VERY well documented here :

The specifics vis a vis ``Open Source" are here :

At the end of the day its up to your free will to determine are you interested in ``high quality technically superior software and extreme amounts of $$$" or are you interested in building a better society based on freedom and equality.
Or maybe even both!

The decision you make in terms of following the movement and term ``Free Software " or ``Open Source" consequently decides a better future for one. Moreover what you preach to others will have an impact as well.
The choice is yours.
