Friends, A one-day workshop on Phoenix has been organised at MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram on Tuesday, 22 August 2006 at 09:30am.
The project URL is:

In particular, check out the link on Phoenix-M which is a much more compact version the device designed around an ATMega16 microcontroller. Besides being smaller and requiring only a 9v supply, the device has the advantage that it can be used as a tool for learning microcontroller programming (using GNU/Linux tools) by
CS/Electronics/Electrical engg students and electronics hobbyists. A properly programmed Phoenix-M system can be used as a standalone equipment (say a frequency counter) as there is provision for attaching an LCD panel (which will function as a simple display).
