What Forbes is doing is unfortunate.
We can compete against them by writing our own articles. Here's an article I wrote recently: http://kerneltrap.org/node/7238
And I'm writing another now (which I hope will be published tonight).
Yes, I have read your article on kerneltrap. Many thanks for writing those. I am sure the articles will help a lot in clearing people's misunderstandings about GPLv3. I would recommend that we all start writing articles like the one you have written and get them published on our local magazines, websites or blogs.
We can also counter them by participating in community discussions where people have doubts or misunderstandings about GPLv3.
Well, confusion and misunderstanding is something else. What Forbes did with this article is a deliberate attempt at defaming rms and the Free Software movement. It was carefully written slander and nothing else. The article talked more about the so-called wrong-doings of rms and his followers than the dangers of GPLv3. In my opinion we should write a letter to the editor of Forbes protesting about the article.
Regards, BG
