Also not to neglect are the assemblers, vendors of ICT, both software and hardware aspects.
Thats a touche! Hardware assemblers generally shy away from GNU/Linux because they aren't confident or don't have sufficient skills to give support. If this can be taken care of, the rest might well be just a matter of time.
