Can anybody recommend some good software in the area of cad/cam? I have tried qcad but it is not so impressive.
Look for BRL-CAD (http://www.brlcad.org/), and Varkon (http://www.tech.oru.se/cad/varkon/). The former is used by the US military, while the latter is used by Saab.
