Hello Friends,
I was browsing our site (fsf.org.in) and saw the "how you can help us" section.
I have a little suggession, but am not sure if it is feasible at all. Anyway, here it is:
1. Is it not feasible to allocate some web space to users for hosting their home pages. There are two advantages of this: a) The domain extention will be something like.... "user.fsf.org.in" or "fsf.org.in/user" Whenever someone is visiting such a page, (s)he is automatically aware of fsf. (Also a little banner on the homepage will do no harm.
b) This hosting can be done for a fee (the cost of actual maintenance + a significant amount for contribution towards fsf-i)
I am ignorant about the procedures for such a thing, but Im sure it can be worked out.
2. Why dont fsf-i sell all those that fsf sells in USA (T-shirts emphasising free software, CD-ROMs etc.)?
Cheers, Sriharsha.

To express personal views, even RMS maintains his own separate web site (stallman.org) outside of the gnu.org domain.

Arun already did something along that line. It will nice to have a web page similar to that of https://agia.fsf.org/order/

We are using server provided by HBCSE. It is given to us free of cost. As we dont own the server it may not be a good idea to provide member accounts and generate money out of it.
Also this involves managerial.

We were selling it during last Dec. We need some volunteers to handle this.
Arun.
If someone can guide, I volunteer. Im from Hyderabad, so LUG at Hyderabad can guide me initially.

Lets not bother about secure online shopping cart interface initially.
Get details from Arun and make a simple web page (like https://agia.fsf.org/order/) listing the items what ever we have currently and their price in Rs.
Let us start distributing them with the help of local user groups or by accepting VPP or DD orders. Also on special free software related events...
Volunteer all this. Arun and Nagarjuna will guide you.
