The more recent mainboards from Gigabyte require the M$ Windows for Bios update, even the MS DOG bios update utility is not offered. Boards in the GA-Mxxx series for example have this feature, notwithstanding the few words on Linux drivers on the relevant page. The right thing for Gigabyte to do is to make a minimal FreeDOS / Linux standalone utility for the purpose. I am telling them a few things.
