Has anybody in India presented proposals from Free Software?
Is anybody building/planning something?
May we help anyway from the other side of the world (in my case, Argentina)?

ATTACHMENT part 2 message/rfc822 De: Suresh Titus sureshtitus@yahoo.com Asunto: Fwd: extention of deadlines for event registration to 30 October 2003 A: sureshtytus@rediffmail.com
Dear Friends,
The deadlines for proposing self-organised activities for the next WSF 2004, to be held in Mumbai, India, were extended until October, 30
The news was announced in the Asian Solidarity meeting, which took place in Chennai (India), on September 24 and 25. Until the closing of this newsletter, around
450
proposals were received by the WSF organisation.
The
content of each proposal can be accessed through
WSF
in India website: www.wsfindia.org, in "Event registration" section (Click in
Display/Edit/Sort).
There are some keys for research as for example, title of the event, focii, event organiser. The
user
can access the complete form (by clicking in
"more")
from the activity and know, for instance, if the event organiser is willing to held its activity in partnership with other organisations. Through the form, it is possible to get e-mail, phone and address of the organisation that is proposing the event. That will allow that organisations
interested
in joint efforts to hold an activity can start
that
process of interlinkage right now. More
information:

Yes, Warren has offered to coordinate free software related programs in WSF 2004. He has registered for the event on behalf of FSF India.
It would be nice if we can make a list of participants from India and out side for the event. Also ideas an suggestions for the programs.
regards, arun.

It would be better if all of us take stock of the situation and identify people and topics that we could do. It would be nice if all the folks that are joining for the event from the Free Software fraternity do at least one single large event for a day or so. I will be certainly available.

I'll be available too, in Mumbai. We should work on some talks. The NGO community, which is a natural ally of Free Software, seems largely and blisfully unaware of it. FN

Martin, it would be great if we all could put up a show together. Do you also know of other people who will be coming to Mumbai and would like to take part in the event in some way or other?
We need to distribute goodies there, which means we should immediately prepare for manufacturing them. Khadhi kurtas with `weave our own code' logo will be a good thing. We also need to publish some leaflets, books and CDs in time.
Let us actively discuss this and get on to work.

I will also be there in Mumbai. I would like to take my share of efforts.

Do you mean books already written and availbable free (e books) Do we have Linux CDs compiled or we have to compile them? About leaflets, I think current leaflets are ok, of course we will be needing more of them to be printed.
Khadi kurtas would be expensive, how can we build funds for that?
Let us actively discuss this and get on to work.
