Hi, Is any body willing to help Dr. Ikbal (Vice chancellor, University of kerala) in installing Gnu/Linux. He is interested in the concepts of free software and now wishes to try it.

Sajith, The first step would be to introduce GPL to him and have him compared it to EULA of M$. http://www.gnu.org could be the first to begin with.
Another must see link would be http://www.proposicion.org.ar/doc/noticias-web.html , where all the happenings around the globe are documented. Perhaps it would help the VC to go through a few at a time, whenever he is free.
Dr Ekbal had received a kind of hammering at the just concluded two day seminar held at Sophiya Centre, Kottayam where he had spoken very high of the ICT. An handicapped journalist (blind) blasted at his book and his utterings without mention of Free Software. The journalist then reported that the audio interfaces for the visually impaired from the Free Software was helping him keep in touch with the happenings round the globe.
