Red Hat 6.2 is a good choice. If possible get your hands on Richard Stevens' "Unix Network Programming" The new edition (second) comes in 2 volumes. I personally consider it the Bible of network progrmming and many will agree. It is a complete rewrite of the 1st. edition and is EXCELLENT to say the least. Both volumes may together cost around Rs. 550/-. But they have tremendous shelf value. Regards, Ashok

I can run xconfigurator. That I also know. But this will change settings for every user which I do not want. Let the resolution 1024 X 768 be there for everybody . I would like to change resolution for only one user, Is there any setting in xinirc . How to create personel xconfigartion profile. Please let me know. LUG meet at FreeOS' new Office

The Indian Linux User's Group [Mumbai Chapter] met at the spanking new offices of FreeOS Technologies on Sun 24-Jun-2001 at Vile Parle. BTW, the HQ of FreeOS is at Worli. There were 16 participants in all and the CEO of FreeOS, Prakash, was kind enough to grace the event. Philip was kind enough to give a gruelling [to him, I guess] lecture on "How to compile a Linux kernel" - replete with practical demo and all. The participants were from all levels of Linux experience and many interesting questions were fielded. Dinesh saved the day on many an occasion from the ramparts, as it were, with his insightful contributions and asides. We winded up at about 8.30pm and Navin was kind enough to bring along his DigiCam to immortalize the event forever. The results of his photographic prowess are attached here. SENDMAIL PROBLEM

Hey people, could anybody tell me how to disable mail facilities for certain users. NO don't tell me to disable/remove his account. I just don't want her to recieve/send mail - but, be able to do other stuff just fine. Any cool ideas.....sendmail wizards R U listening PS: Tell me about Ruleset tweaking....I'm raring to mess up sendmail.cf!!!! (*pure masochism*)
