Extracting data from a .GDB file

Hi Luggers...:-)) I have a .GDB file containing some data. I want to extract that data to a MySQL database or to a flat file. I have never worked with a .GDB file. Some amount of googlizing had led me to believe that .GDB extension is used by Interbase for its database files. How do I get the data out of that GDB file? I don't have Interbase installed on my Linux m/c. Can I still access the data in the file? TIS firewall toolkit problem

hello guys, i have installed TIS fwtk 2.1 on my redhat6.2 kernle 2.2.19 box i have configured the plug-gw in the netperm-table as plug-gw: port pop3 * -plug-to 10.1.201.1 -port pop3 this is basically to allow access from all IP addresses my DNS is configured properly however for each and every request access is denied Dec 5 10:10:25 cache plug-gw[11638]: nbm_core_fullmesh/210.140.153.131 host nam e lookup failed Dec 5 10:10:25 cache plug-gw[11638]: deny host=unknown/210.140.153.131 service= pop3 (dummy ip given here;-) hwowver the ip address is perfectly reverse resolvable in the DNS yet im getting access denied errors the connection is dropped after the initail TCP handshake any ideas regds, Kishor __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Hello all, This mai is for the PRC, I am posting it to ILUG so that I can get comments on this idea. I would like being a mentor/guide for this idea of mine, I hope that some of you do really like to impliment this and get in touch with me. This is a pretty big project and will require atleast 4 people to participate, I will manage even if there is no prior experince in any programming languages, however I would like if you understand programming atleast. The preffered language for the implimentation of this will be C++, or JAVA. The project goes like this. Today mailing lists function this way. A mail is sent to mailing list server and the server tries to send the mail to everyone who has subscribed, this is a very big overhead on the mailing lists servers since for each received mail, it has to send hundreds or thousands of mails all across the globe on the internet, ofcourse many times the deleivary is not completed in the first attempt as well. There is a very obvious solution to this, is provide a pop account on this very same mailing list server for each member, this is although a good solution is not very practical since multiple copies of a message need to me maintained, one for each member and the memory required on the server will rise exponentially. relay deny to authenticated users

Hi, I just realized that uu.net (appear so me to be an ISP) has many spamers are their clients. I am wondering what is the solution to this. If a spammer will signup for a account from uu.net then he can authenticate himself and send spams to many people. How can uu.net stop this? It appears to me that uu.net is listed as a spaming domain (sorry for this slang language but I do not have the proper term for this) and mails from this domain are not accepted if we disable the mail delivery from blacklisted domains. How can I as a sysadmin make sure that uu.net spams are not welcomed but genuine users from uu.net are no problems. Thanks in advance. Bye.
