Hi Pramila, I m not much aware of Unix, but in linux in /etc/xinetd.d/telnet file, there is a tag as disable = yes. Make it no & start xinetd.d service & then chk it out if U R able to telnet. Hi, This is with respect 2 "Firewalling using iptables" artical in "Linuxforyou" magazine. As per i have understood iptables,i belive there is some printing mistakes in your artical. -------- In page 93, The flow char should end with "POSTROUTING",but its ending with "PREENDING" ---------- In page 94, The Script should contain, echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward some where ? ----------- Hi All, I'm having one doubt.If you find time kindly clarify it. The line, $IPT -A FORWARD -i eth1 -m state -state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT should be $IPT -A FORWARD -i eth1 -o eth0 -m state -state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT There should is eth0 right ?Without mentioning it how come it will be forwared to interface eth0 ? [ILUG-BOM]PRoblem with LAN card

I have RED HAT 9 kernel ver 2.4 running on my P4. The problem is my R= ealtek LAN card RTL8139C isn't auto detected by linux and if try to add it = then if shows "Device not present delaying initialization" at boo= t up. There is a problem definately with the driver as the same card works = well for Windows network. Please suggest me some means to solve the p= roblem.. Abhi [3D"http:=]

I know that Mozilla is under GPL. But I would like to know whether i need to include their logo etc when distribuing commercial software when I am not changing their source code at all. Download nvidia rpm from ftp://sachinnair.com, i used it on my system almost similar configuration so it should be good enough. run it after getting into runlevel 3 as someone said earlier. You could also try reducing the resolution in /etc/X11/XF86Config and changin the 'nv' to 'nvidia' as shown below. Boot form the bootable CD using 'linux rescue' command.
