I am using fedora core 5.
I have my apache running perfectly.
I have document root as /var/www/html
There is a direcory "transfer" inside "/var/www/html"
But when I put any *.doc file in "transfer", no one can access it. But they
can access PDF files and all other files from the same directory , with same
permissions set on all files.I tried settin chmod 755 on the files again.
Still pdf, zip etc files go perfect , no luck with .doc files.
I also upgraded to latest version of Apache too(2.2.2), still not working.
I also tried lighttpd as suggested by a friend, same problem there.
Also I am not able to upload .doc files as mail attachments in gmail/yahoo
mail using Opera/Firefox/Konqueror. I can attach all other types of files
though.
So basically, its like .doc files are not going out of my box to anyone in
any manner....I have disabled SElinux at boot itself. I am at my wits
end...dunno what to do..please help.
