Firefox 2.0 @ higher risk than IE 7 in Vista?

Hello All, http://zdnet.com.com/1606-2_2-6173372.html Found this link, while was browsing through my emails and replies to queries. The above video demonstrates that .ani files used in Vista for animated cursors can be exploited by a remote server (when a URL is visited). (exploited for remote access to files) For Internet Explorer 7 (default installation with Vista), a connection is established, but since Internet Explorer is in protected mode, it won't allow harfmful priveleges on system files. However, a higher concern is for Firefox users, because it uses the same windows component to process this request, but doesn't have a defined modes of access. (No modes like the ones in IE7). I *haven't* tried this, nor do I know how a TCP packet is used in the above connection, (and what sort of packet) for this attack. So, does Firefox need some enhancements of functioning independently of Windows components? RHEL AS on Intel 101 motherboard

Hi I am trying to install RHEL AS on Intel 101 motherboard. It is giving system kernel panic error. Any work arounds to install Linux ? I want to install it on the ST3160021A 160 GB HD. And the windows is installed on the ST3250823AS 250gb HD. If any one has installed Linux on 101 motherboard please help me with tips on doing the same. The configuraion of my comp is as follows. Hello guys, I thought of a few issues on my way back home. Firstly, if you want to edit stuff like nvram settings or anything else not available in the GUI, its apparently done via the /etc/local.* files. The DHCP server configuration for example, was done in /etc/local.udhcpd.conf or something similar. Just something to keep in mind before hacking the init scripts. Secondly, I read this: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3626#page-51 The cron script that was edited to prevent the default gw route loss (/usr/sbin/cron.minutely original at /usr/sbin/cron.minutely.orig) could have been trying to achieve this: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3626#page-54 Please run a diff to make sure. But I don't think it should be kept the way it is in the original file either. Another thing. If it is necessary to find out exactly which node assigned the ip to the client, in case of multiple DHCP servers, maybe interface aliases can be used to define two different subnets. Run DHCP server on the aliases to lease ips in two different subnets. Also, apparently OLSR traffic happens on UDP port 698. Apache error "child pid 10500 exit signal Segmentation fault"

Hi, I have RHEL 4, httpd 2.0.52-9.ent. I have setup local webserver. When I am opening any .html page, the error log is showing "Directory index forbidden by rule: /var/www/" and when I am trying to open .php pages, the error log is showing "child pid 10500 exit signal Segmentation fault" and the blank page is displayed.
