OLSR is layer 3. Well, so no money is needed to switch to olsr. If people start playing with OLSR now, I have heard that a computer notebook from HCL costs $ 250 ---- so can cheap notebooks be enabled for OLSR. The prices of cheapest notebooks, if it follows that of mobiles, will be Rs 5,000 in 4 years. I can't come but I read your list regularly in archive mode. Erach

[xpost] xinerama dual display with Intel graphics

Ubuntu 8.04.1, Intel graphics chip on laptop - shows as 2 distinct ports: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) I am trying to setup two displays side by side, using the laptop's display and LCD panel through VGA port. I have read thru the some of the help and modified xorg.conf per suggestions but it is not working. If you have successfully setup xinerama on a laptop, I would appreciate if you could share your xorg.conf settings. TIA, -- Arun Khan

Hi, There are lots of technical questions and answers which are being answered on this list. Can you make this list a searchable list (instead of merely downloading the zipped files) or put it on yahoo groups (viewable by everybody ----- how does one prevent SPAM) or google groups so everybody can view it. Also, note that the OLPC XO notebook with built-in OLSR is available in Nepal for $ 125. I had got Microsoft Word and Excel and powerpoint to work under WINE on Kubuntu LINUX but then again it became non-workable the next day. I can't get Tally to connect properly under WINE.
