Hello All We have started a community for OpenStack Implementers / Adopters / Developers in India.This is primarily for people interested in the Private Cloud Technology and implementation of the same. [Commercial] Setup Wake-on-Lan

Hi, I have a PC with CentOS 5.4 installed. I run a "shutdown" command via cron every day at 1pm. I need to start this PC every day at 11am. I believe this can be accomplished using Wake-On-LAN. I do not have much knowledge on this, hence seeking paid help from someone who can do this for me. Please contact me off-list to discuss more. Thx & Rgds, Sans

[OT] Computers in Education

Hello, Nowadays there is a new trend among schools in Mumbai, to install electronic interactive black boards in classrooms. This concept is being marketed in a crazy way and there appears to be a race to install one everywhere. Marketing persons are convincing the school authorities that this is the only way to teach and will also help students that have learning difficulties. The systems run on Windows and teachers are being encouraged to do everything in MS Power Point slide shows by creating them every day. Another interesting thing is that they have a server installed where teachers must upload all their teaching material so it is commonly available to everyone. It appears that the hardware will be sold to the schools and the data made by the teachers may get used for marketing. My question is that how much computing is needed in teaching today? Apart from showing educational films and slide shows in the auditorium, what more can be done in class using a computer? -- Freedom is a shared resource. Take some, leave the rest for others. Dear Arun, No Errors. After creating the database. I'm not getting how to start INSTALLATION using browser. I enter 127.0.0.1 and i get apache server. But no default site of Drupal. Thanks. Drupal on Fedora 14.

Mozilla Seamonkey 2.1 64 bit plugins

Hi, In Ubuntu 11.04 AMD64 installation, I had to manually install Mozilla Seamonkey 2.1. The Mozilla Seamonkey 2.0.14 available in Ubuntu update repository did not work properly. The plugins directory which used to be there in the application directory structure is missing. I can not install adobe flash 64 bit version manually in this version. In earlier version I used to copy the libflashplayer.so in the plugins directory (/usr/lib/seamonkey-2.0.13/plugins/) I installed the Adobe Acrobat Reader plugin, and it installed the plugin nppdf.so in .mozilla/plugins folder of my home folder. I copied the libflashplayer.so in the same directory, but it does not show up in the about:plugins display nor does flash work. A web search in Google did not give any indication. Can any one point me to the correct directory to install plugins in Mozilla seamonket 2.1 Thanks and regards. sadhu
