Hello,
Free Software Movement Maharashtra (FSMM) in association with Software
Freedom Law Centre (SFLC) is organising a cryptoparty at VJTI, in
Mumbai on the 7th of September 2013.
What is a cryptoparty?
A CryptoParty is a hands-on training program where we introduce
Internet users to the tools that help in protecting privacy in the
online world. The training program will teach the ways in which
communications and data can be encoded to prevent disclosure of their
contents through eavesdropping or message interception, using codes
(2), ciphers (3), and other methods, so that only certain people can
see the real message.
Agenda:
Introduction
Browsing Security
TOR
Browser security
Password Management
Email and IM Security
Web based email
Email clients (thunderbird)
Mail encryption
The session will also look at the legal and philosophical aspects of
the issue as well.
Where: VJTI, Matunga, CS lab, Mumbai
When: 7 (Saturday) September 2013, 10AM to 1pm
Contact: Vikram Vincent 09448810822 or Rahul Maganti 09029809860

the use of proprietary software.

Would anyone be interested in conducting weekend classes at MU's Kalina
campus. Syllabus covers basic topics like working with Ubuntu/Fedora, using
the shell interface and setting up simple services like httpd, nfs, postfix.
Please get in touch with me if anyone's interested in taking this up.

Do the AMD boards have better graphics?
JTD, the Asus boards I mentioned have good graphics and on the net it seems the core i5 and i7 have better performance.

Hello,
I am looking for a locally available and not too expensive workstation
motherboard to be used for file sharing running Debian OS for a small
organisation. The graphics part is not important but need good SATA,
USB3.0 and Gigabit LAN support. I was looking at this one but I feel its
more for graphics which I do not need at all.

Any other suggestions?
