All there... Wishing you a happy new year!!! Porting of FPW apps to Linux There is an application which is running on Window and is created using foxpro for win 2.6. It also linked to and/or calling OLE applications. It also uses DDE to share data with other DDE compatible applications like Excel. Now I want to install this application on Linux server and to use thin client. Need Guidance and suggestions. Also looking for small box type diskless workstation. Regards Kamlesh Shah

Connecting muliple Terminals via serial lines to a server

Hello, I want to setup a Central Server in my School [suppose] & connect Terminals via serial lines so that every user can log into & use only one copy of the OS installed in the Central Server but I don't realy know how to implement it. Is there any online Documentation or HOW-TO Available ?? My second qwery is ... suppose there are multiple PCs conected through Ethernet on anything. If I want to see the display of the other PC, what is the way out ? I once saw Sameer do it in a workshop ... but I couldn't follow it. Thanx in advance ... [ILUG-BOM]Missing special device file /dev/fd0

Hello, Earlier, I mounted 3.5" floppies by just giving the command # mount /dev/fd0 /floppy Now suddenly, I don't know what happened, the bash shell says the device file is missing. As an alternative, what I did is that I changed the entry in /etc/fstab & named the floppy device file to /dev/fd0H1440. Now I mount floppies by using the command # mount /dev/fd0H1440 /floppy Although it works perfectly okay, I am still intrigued by what happened. Hello All Well I am sad to write this from a win98 machine bcaz of stupid command -> "dd if=111.bin of=/dev/hda2 bs=1440 count=1" from root on RH 7.1 Actually /dev/hda2 was where / got mounted everytime..but now this command has caused inode table to get corrupted on /dev/hda2 (may be bcaz i replaced usual bs=512 to bs=1440 and so its written to unwanted space cauing damage to i-node tables).. now i can't go beyond kernel panic screen on RH 7.1 So Can i get back my data in /dev/hda2 ???How?
