For 99.99% of application stratum 2 or 3 suffice. Stratum 1 servers are primarily meant for applications which really, really need an accurate timebase, because if everyone used stratum 1 servers they would be overloaded and ruin the accuracy for everyone. Boot time option for RedHat Linux 7.1

Hi all, how can give options to LILO at boot time? In earlier versions, with the text version of LILO, it was very easy. But in 7.1 how can I eneter boot parameters from the graphical boot screen? Please help me! kshitijv e-mail: kshitijv(a)forindia.com

Dear Sir, On searching over in net about NTP Time Servers , I came across your page.Pardon me for this unwanted intrusion. You seemed to me the same way excited about the Time Servers as myself. The page lists some Get-Time Servers, but mostly these servers are of Stratum 2 or 3. Do you have any information about primary stratum 1 Time Servers operating in India and what or where is the Reference clock situated. Hello Monil Chheda To best of my knowledge you can use partition magic which is a free software available for download. You can boot your computer using pqmagic floppy. problem with modules

hi there everyone, i have adoubt, how can we have the system correctly boot with the required modules, if i have 2 kernels which differ only by a patch ? i have compiled 2.4.17 and the same one with with a premptive patch. the system.map of both the kernels is in the boot and also i had compiled the modules of both the kernels, however the second kernel( preemptiv ) has overwritten the modules anyway. can i copy the modues of both of them as different directries in /lib/modules/ and have them loaded accoreding to the kernel from whihc i am booting the computer. regards -rahul __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I ran win98 till now and i still have it .Recently i installed RedHat 7.1 on one of my partitions With linux in the master boot record. The pc boots up and prompts me to load linux or dos(win98) .
