Hello All, I am a student at DJSCE, and am new to this group (first time for any LUG). Just want to say that I am excited to get in touch with you all. I had built the website and the registration app for the same as a volunteer for the event and was invited to attend the event by FSF IN, the event at RVCE. I really enjoyed the event and the speech was great. RMS has a way to explain things in a simple to understand and yet entertaining way. He is super approachable and nice. Even got to have lunch with RMS :) .., We really need him to visit Mumbai the next time too. There is alot to learn for first timers and many like minded people would get a chance to meet and exchange ideas. P.S: Forgive me if I have I have broken any mailing list rule, but please do point out. Im open to learning.

meetups : suggestion : change of venue!

could the venue for future meetups be changed back to the 'hbcse' campus at mankhurd? it was the place where it all started back in 1997, and it does hold environment of coolness to it, especially with all the trees and greenery and seclusion, et all. ;) on a more serious note, it would be better to reach the end of mumbai than the weird mid-way-off-track location of vidyavihar. if it's a case of lack of resources to conduct the meetup at 'hbcse' then it's okay, but otherwise, nothing beats the atmosphere of 'hbcse'.

hello, is there anyone out here working with 'ml', specifically 'sml'? i have become quite enamoured by sml/nj and i couldn't find a mailing list, thought i might ask some questions about the language's use-case to someone who might be knowledgeable enough.
