Problems with Partition Table

The Simputer (Simple In-expensive Multi-lingual People's Computer) is a pocket-size computer, running Linux, that is designed to overcome traditional barriers to computing, like literacy, by offering a "simple and natural user interface based on sight, touch and audio." He has never been to the United States but he admires its energy for innovation. Hi DUDE, Everything else accepted. Last one week has been really bad for me & thats reflecting. Yes I will think not twice but thrice before sending any mail. I actually wrote that(bad lang. :: not my habit ::) to make someone (with whom I had problems since past 2 months) in particular reply against me. And my plan worked. Reread my first mail to you & you will understand. I am glad that my plan worked. Problems with Partition Table

Hi all Luggers ! On my home PC I have 10GB hdd in which there are three primary partitions - 6gb,2gb,2gb .. Win98 is installed on the first partition and the second partition also belongs to Win98 .. Linux is installed on the last partition in which I have 2 logical partitions one for Root(/) and the other for the Swap partition Before installing Linux, Win98 showed me both the partitions correctly as c: and d: as the last one was kept unused for installing Linux.. However after installing Linux, Win98 shows 3 partitions as c,d and e where e: shows the contents of what previously belonged to d: and now the d: show me an error message of "Invalid media reading drive d " In other words the positions of both the partitions are swapped (from win98 point of view) Even worse I can't access the second partition from the dos prompt .. In linux things are as they shud be and I can mount both the Win98 partitions properly .. Please help me Thanks in advance Warm Regards, $ sonpal -kj

If you can't show respect for a person who is such a high achiever, wheres the question of disrespect ? i just said that he seems to think debian is better than redhat and who am i to dispute it (being new to linux ) I doubt you will return me my cds. So Mr. Triptpal Singh Lamba, first buy a book on letter writing & change your philosopy & attitude. (just because u think so - :) sorry - i dont agree - but u are entitled to ur own opinion) Next time think twice before sending a mail. (Now maybe u shouldnt be saying this - looking ar ur hurriedly compiled reply,i wouldnt give u too much credit for thinking at least) and the reason i called u wise one was the fact that my 2 line query had generated a 2 page reply from you...its not bum licking - so dont flatter urself.. i am just here to learn and if u have a misunderstanding clear it rather than firing me - i may be ur junior in linux-but that dosent give u any right whatsoever to judge me (wrt my abilities) ..and yea i have seen philips resume --i saw him 4 years back when he was still working on vb ----- so maybe when u dont know the entire picture ---learn to relax.
