Anybody game? If so please reply to this thread. We will get a venue (if you have a proposal/agree to host for the same, most welcome). Its not necessary that we end up being there all the three days, we can fix a convenient time and get together. In fact we have our LUG meet too this week IIRC. May be after the LUG meet we can head to some place and start squashing bugs. If nothing works out, I have wireless at my place and a big covered terrace where I can host a few people with Coffee and biscuuuts ;). Also there is a quick intro session tomorrow at #ubuntu-bugs @ irc.freenode.net from 2130 hrs IST for general questions about the Global Bug Jam. Be there!!! [OT] Power over Ethernet (PoE) adapters - product suggestion

For power, my network device is PoE capable and also has a 12V/1A DC in. There are no power outlets near the device. Also, the ethernet switch does not have any PoE ports. I am looking for an adapter, that sits in the closet alongside the ethernet switch, with input a) Jack for DC12V/1A in, b) RJ45 LAN in (from switch), and output A) RJ45 LAN out (ethernet+dc power). If you have used or know of such a beast please share make/model. TIA, -- Arun Khan

NIXI representative visiting Mumbai

Hi, Sending this mail on behalf of Devdas Bhagat who asked me to relay this message to the list since he doesn't have internet access until tomorrow night or such. Mr. Rajesh, of NIXI ( www.nixi.in / The National Internet eXchange of India ) will be in Mumbai on Monday, 4th of August. He would be visiting the Directi office in Mumbai and would be very interested to meet LUG members. One of agenda for the meeting is for sponsoring bandwidth for foss projects or foss setups like - local copy of sf.net, debian/fedora/ubuntu/yourfavdistro, indlinux mirrors. NIXI is very interested in going ahead with this idea and have had meetings regarding this with the ilug-del. Directi has expressed interest in sponsoring the hardware for the same cause. Lug members who are interested in meeting up with Mr. Rajesh to discuss the above are very welcome and encouraged to join Devdas and others at Directi office ( Malad ) for lunch or later. JFYI, Mr. Rajesh will be leaving on Monday evening itself. Cheers!
