PHP and apache 2.0

Hi, I am working on RH8.0. I configured php and apache, but the post or get are not working. Any data sent by the form is not being received by the php page. This is the content of my index.html <html> <body> <form action="trial.php" method="get"> <input type="text" name="amish"> <input type="submit"> </form> </body> </html> And here is my trial.php <html> <body> <?php echo("$amish"); ?> </body> </html> But the output is a blank page, the phpinfo() page is working absolutely fine. The output of the rpm command is as shown below. But will VJTI allow sale on behalf of FSF / GLUG / ILUGBOM ? do we have the necessary permissions ? ---------- The current letter approved by Princpal which J.N.SHAH has sent to ilugbom(He said that it is not put in the ilug because of size) expilictly mention about sale by student association and the price at 25/ per cd. It should not be a problem for FSF/GLUG/ILUGBOM since there are non-profit organisations. [J.N.Shah may a get a formal approval;] As far as I know, there can be no profit based sale in the campus;even it is a small value. Finally, it is a question of approvals. geting error with horde webmail packag

hi linuxers I have just installed horde with imp and have configured all the parameters as stated in the horde installation guide.I have used Redhat Linux 7.3,horde 2.2.Everything worked fine uptill login page but after entering username password it shows the following error Warning: Undefined property: _iv in /var/www/html/mail/horde/lib/Cipher.php on line 107 Warning: Undefined property: _iv in /var/www/html/mail/horde/lib/Cipher.php on line 107 Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/html/mail/horde/lib/Cipher.php:107) in /var/www/html/mail/horde/imp/redirect.php on line 31 if anybody have previously implimentd horde please help me. To Principals and Directors and faculty members Dear Sir/Madam, I have great pleasure in informing you that we have organised a public lecture by Dr Richard Stallman at VJTI on Friday ,14 February , 2003 at 6 PM to 8-30 PM. Dr Stallman is well known to the software field as the pioneer of GNU operating system which is currently popularly used along with LINUX kernel ( hence properly called gnu/linux) . His well known contributions are gcc compilrs, gnu emacs and many other systems which are also available on propritory platforms like MSWindows. Currently when issues of spreading the IT culture in education and e-governance are occupying many minds and new avenues for jobs are being sought, it is natural that students become aware of available alternatives. With this in mind, we have taken this opportunity to invite Dr Stallman for a lecture at VJTI during his tour to India.He has earlier delivered lectures in IIT and TIFR. I take this opportunity to invite you and also faculty and students interested in current trends in software technology. Free Software is an alternative that needs evaluation and consideration . Our student organizations are also proposing to demonstrate ( before the public lecture ) some software (available on CDs at copying cost of Rs 25/- per CD containing GNU software) e.g. KNOPPIX ( a self-booting CD with several pre-installed software) , GNU-WIN-II ( a collection of software from GNU which also works on MSWindows OS and similar others. Those interested in this program may contact as below. I am requesting our Prof T. M. Bansod who has conducted several workshops on gnu\Linux for engineering teachers to also contact teachers having taken training at VJTI to attend the lecture. This is very good as many drives from creative cannot read the 700mb version and crash. Further knoppix works poorly on machines with older s3 graphics board with 2mb graphics memory (and other old hardware i suspect). So an appropriate warning may be in order. No route to host ?

Hi! I've just configured my LAN card to access cyberoam braodband I can successfully login and also name resolution seems to be working However when i ping it gives following error: PING google.com (216.239.51.100): 56 data bytes ping: sendto: No route to host I've also added my IP-address in /etc/hosts ###### /etc/hosts ###### 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost # Following is ip-address given by my ISP xx.x.x.xx localhost.localdomain localhost ####### End of /etc/hosts #### Pls guide -- Nikhil nikhiljoshi.cjb.net
