Hello dinesh, good-evening. Am glad that you have offered to help dinesh, thanks again. I would be on the field tomorrow visiting clients and will do my best to be there for the meeting in the evening where we may be able to catch up. [OT] Xqueeze Reference Implementation (C++) available

Hi all! I am glad to announce that after ages of delay, a Reference Implementation for Xqueeze (pronounced as ex-kweez) is now available in C++. You can download it from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/xqueeze Xqueeze project aims to derive better performance from applications that use XML as the underlying data exchange mechanism and where human-readability is not a concern. The objectives for Xqueeze are: * Minimization of space consumed by markup * Compatibility with XML based design, development and deployment * Fast parsing * Minimum/no loss of generality afforded by XML Xqueeze uses an alternate markup scheme called xqML (xqueeze Markup Language) that is structurally similar to XML but has much more compact markup and is easier to parse. Hello Luggers, good-day. Am keenly looking at solving the issue of commercials regards burning CD's for 2 UP-Coming events. --> Shivaji University --> Symbiosis Insitute of Computers We ARE IN DIRE of funds to burn these cd's of which we shall RETAIL some and some shall Give Away. We hope to recover about 70% of the cost back from the RETAILED cd's. This amount will go back to the donors. Those interested in helping us out with the same please call me up and lemme know. 2 minor problems after kernel recompilation..

Hi, This is my first post to this mailing list although I have been lurking for a couple of months... I am facing 2 problems with my GNU/Linux box (Redhat 7.2, Kernel 2.4.19) since I installed the 2.4.19 kernel a couple of months ago.. 1) My system does not turn off automatically after issuing the powerdown command.. I have to turn it of manually. Earlier, with the RH 7.2 default kernel (2.4.7-10), the power would switch off automatically. Here are the how the relevant variables are set : CONFIG_PM=y CONFIG_APM=m # CONFIG_APM_IGNORE_USER_SUSPEND is not set CONFIG_APM_DO_ENABLE=y CONFIG_APM_CPU_IDLE=y # CONFIG_APM_DISPLAY_BLANK is not set CONFIG_APM_RTC_IS_GMT=y CONFIG_APM_ALLOW_INTS=y # CONFIG_APM_REAL_MODE_POWER_OFF is not set I got these settings from linuxnewbie.org a couple of months ago. They do not work for me, nor can I explain why they are the way they are. They seem to work for others with a similar problem though. 2) I cannot mount audio cd's anymore. I can play them through gtcd, I just cannot rip them.. The mount command tells me that I got a bad fs type or there are too many mounted filesystems. I can mount normal data cd's easily enough.. Also, what is a good strategy to follow while compiling a kernel? Is it better to make as many modules as possible or the other way round? Are there any particular features which would be better off as part of the kernel image rather than as modules? Currently, I have compiled very few features as modules. Hello All, I m using COMPAQ's DL320 server.'ve installed RHL7.2 with apache1.3.26,php4.2.2,freetds0.53 and Oracle8i. Php4.2.2 is installed for odbc,oracle,mysql,postgres,apache. But server has one problem.When m/c get rebooted after some days uptime,it doesnot bring eth0 up by stating that other host is having same ip. so,i have to change ip in eth0's ifconfig file.then only it comes up on network. so,what cud be the problem??? i think there's something wrong with NIC.bad NIC which doesnot release ip. or some network drivers problem?? Venue for the Meeting on 2nd

The venue for the meet has been fixed at Ruparel College. A formal letter has been sent, and today I heard from the college that the venue will be available for the meeting. I will inform the Romm number tom. For this meeting LCD projection will not be possible, but a PC will be provided by the college. Meanwhile get ready for preparing. The meeting starts at 3pm at Ruparel College. Nagarjuna
