That is why u have mailing lists - subscription means u are
soliciting mail on the relevant area of interest.

I suppose that is what will happen if u are subscribed to 4
lists. the poster has no control over who in the mailing
lists receive the mail.
But he does have control over the contents and should take
care to keep things short.

If the mail has no relevance to the list it is spam. I find
the job postings (most of which have little to do with FLOSS)
a lot more irritating, but afaik several do find it useful.
Imho classifying FN's posts as spam is a little harsh.
