Hey Guys, Sherlock(a)vsnl.com mentioned the important aspects of hardware and there's other stuff like IRDA, Camera and Bluetooth which I can think of now. These are not really necessary at first stage but we cant overlook them. And AKAIK FBUS connection is generally used for transferring Pics, tones and logos n stuff and MBUS connection is used to Unlock the cell. A Flasher cable is used to Flash the software to Cell. Can anyone get ARM disassembler as I've the software for 3310 and other utils which are used to flash the software to 3310 and I guess is the ideal and inexpensive cell to start off. Problem with Reliance ISP in Linux

Hi Whenever I connect to the Internet from my reliance phone in Linux(FC2) and log on to site www.indianrail.gov.in i always get an error - Request Time Out. So I use a public proxy server (currently - 203.199.85.2:3128) and then get access to the site. However when i connect to the Internet from reliance phone in Windows I do not need a proxy server for the same site. What could be the reason? And how can i inform the reliance ISP about this problem? Moreover I ve observed that the site shows time-out for all foreign proxy servers. So I guess they ve blocked foreign servers. But then why such a weird problem with Reliance ISP?? Regards Chirag.

It comes upon the more experienced people like you to guide and encourage people with ideas. The onus is also on the new people to not take this mailing list for granted and expect easy ready-to-eat answers all the time. Unfortunately, the mechanical and the electronic design is way beyond my skills. Software is something that I can do though. I have been thinking of implemented something like <http://protowrxs.com/nolen/robotics/LTBot/default.asp> or <http://www.evolution.com/er1/what_overview.masn> using standard hardware rather than creating a custom board for it. Should be simpler. Controller cards are available or can be designed for stepper motor control, etc. Cost of the project components is an issue. The cost of time is an investment in knowledge so it can be discounted at the moment. Tell me if you want to do something with this. Regards, Rajesh

Thanks all. Basically the ones feasible for me would be ultramax(dadar) and cms (mazgaon, dadar). Usually the "front office" or counsellers as they are called may not give the accurate picture about the actual faculty. There could be a real good faculty somewhere but the initial sales pitch could be bad or vice versa. Any personal experiences? Any faculty of these classes on this list?
