PDA + Phone + Linux sync sw

Hi Guys, My boss wants a state of the art / latest / greated PDA + Phone that works in US and India + bundled software to sync with the GNU/Linux operating system. He is going to the US tonight and will buy it from there. Anyone that has done R&D on this topic and can suggest a model I should tell him to buy, would be super. For the past 1 hour I've been on Google, LinuxDevices, Palm.com and Nokia.com and have got even more confused on what I should recommend/suggest. ;-) Any help would be great. My goal is to prevent him from buying a product that would require him to switch (dual boot) into Windows just so that he can sync his PDA with the computer for data entry. I've not had much success with the PDA sync tools on GNU/Linux with his notebook. Probably got something to do with the USB / Serial Port thingy.. Regards Rishi

Dear Dilip, For a network instalation make two disks 1. with bootdisk image 2. with netdrv image at the boot: prompt type boot: linux askmethod after a few screens you will be asked for the which method to go for. Few necessary checks: 1. Disable/Modify the firewall on you server 2. Start DHCP incase you will be assigning client IP's using DHCP. And please try the installation using FTP, with anonymous login.....I was'nt able to do that..! I was able to install using FTP source using a VLU. Hi, Hey how could i make a bootnet.img for redhat 9 ?? there is no "bootnet.img" at images dir !! I tried from preparing the bootnet.img of redhat 8 , but it failed saying that "The Second stage of install which you have selected does not match the boot disk your using..." I prepared the 'bootnet.img' from redhat-8 CD like this: # dd if=/mnt/cdrom/images/bootnet.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k count=1 I believe this is correct !! -Dilip -- Sorry for my engalish....it not my mother tongue ;) -----------

what should i use to index my docs/site???
