Hi,
We have SAN here, with a Compaq TL890 tape library, an HSG80 storage
array, one GS160 configured as two hosts and a normal ML350 ... all
connected to a SAN switch through Emulex fiber channel adapters.
For testing, we connected the tape library (TL890 directly to the
ML350). It has 10 tape slots and two drives with a robotic arm ... the
ML350 has an Emulex fiber channel adapter, that is supposed to show
all SAN boxes as SCSI devices.
But problem is, /proc/scsi/scsi shows only the robotic arm, and not
the tape drives ... we tried compiling all the scsi modules into the
kernel, but still no effect. Earlier, when the server was on the SAN,
it could not see the storage array or other hosts either. It only
shows the first LUN it founds. So we tried tweaking MAX_LUNS, but that
doesn't help either!
Has anybody tried doing something like this before? Please help!
Sameer.
