Linux video problems

I have installed RH Linux 6.2 on my PC: AMD K6/400, 128 MB Ram, S3 TRIO 3D/2X with 4 MB , Samsung 55v mionitor. After successfully booting, the screenbalnks out . I hear 4 short beeps. The video comes on after I press any key. This makes it difficult to use the system. I have installed same Linux 6.2 on my older Pentium I PC. Could teh AMD CPU have anything to do with this? Generally, there is also a command 'make uninstall' but it all depends on Makefile. So you should keep Makefile in case you plan to uninstall the software installed by make. How to connect using wvdial?

This may seem lame question but heck I don't seem to be able to connect to net using wvdial It gives the message : PPP negotiation detected. --> Starting pppd at Fri Mar 8 18:44:47 2002 But I can't view webpages,send/receive mail ..... I have no other option but to use rp3 (which I guess is frontend to wvdial) plz help I don't want to use X server just for connecting to net -- You need no longer worry about the future. This time tomorrow you'll be dead.

Boot up problems

Hi friends, I have redhat 7.1 installed along with win XP and Win 98 in dual booting. Since last two days when i select Linux for booting , i just get the message ***** Loading linux ............. Uncompressing linux .......Ok .Booting the kernal ******** and nothing else is displayed on the screen instead of the usual parameters of booting .How do i resolve this problem. Please help me !!
