Running a web server on a machine with private IP Address.

Hi, I recently moved from Mumbai to Kolkata, where I have a fiber network connection who provided me with a private IP address for my machine. My local IP is 172.17.177.88 and the public IP is 45.250.245.79. My desktop is connected to a Wi-fi router with a DHCP host, which provides a IP to my desktop 192.168.1.46. If I want to run a web server and mail server namely Apache and postfix on my machine, how do I configure my machine? Not running the machine 24/7 will be a problem? I run Fedora 32 64 bit GNU/Linux on my machine. Please let me know if any more information is required to answer my question. I will be thankful for any pointers which I can read to understand the complexities.

Does Perl 5 still have any followers out here?

I have been fiddling with Perl 6 (Raku) for the past 2 weeks, and while specification wise (what's on paper) it looks quite advanced, the implementation leaves a lot to be desired. That set me wondering if Perl 5 (Perl) is still being used by people. Back in the good old days, some of us (Philip Tellis and me at least) started serious programming using Perl and it was a joy to use. Don't know about the current status. Are there still any Perl programmers/developers around out here on this list and in Bombay specifically? If yes, would like to catch-up with some at a meetup (when-ever that happens). ~Mayuresh

Hello, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and doing well. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, a lot of teachers/professors are finding ways to reach out to their students using online learning methodologies. Our team at FOSSEE <https://fossee.in/> (*Free/Libre and Open Source Software for Education*), IIT Bombay has created Yaksh <https://github.com/FOSSEE/online_test>, a Free & Open Source, Learning Management System with automated grading evaluation for administering exams and programming challenges. Yaksh allows teachers to create and administer multimedia-rich courses, manage students, assignments, exams and grading all in one place. It is web-based and hosted online which means that users can access courses from anywhere. It has been successfully used by a number of Professors at IIT, Bombay to administer their own courses to a couple of hundred students every year. It is also used internally by our team to conduct remote training programs, workshops and exams as well as to set up standalone programming challenges for hackathons and recruitment processes Yaksh has been built with Python and Django on the backend and HTML, CSS (Bootstrap) and JQuery on the frontend.
