DOS recognizes only the first primary partition (don't know why does it not recognize the others) and also this partition needs to be set as the active partition. Also keep in mind that your LILO will be overwritten after Windoze 9x installs itself, so make a Linux bootable floppy before hand and/or copy the vmlinuz file on your Windoze partition. You can use loadlin.exe later to boot into Linux. Hi, I have two printers installed on my linux box. One local and one remote (IP based). After i give the print command, the print files goes into the print queue /var/spool/lpd. Unless i restart the print daemon, it does not print. How do i get it to print directly. Noel. hello! i'm involved(well....indirectly) in a purchase decision for a computer. it's main purpose is running graphics software(3DMax and that sort) The main contender is HP Vectra, with a Matrox card (agp). Hello List members, I am happy to tell you that the first set of GIMP tutorials named GIMP-Jr.K.G is ready. This set is meant for absolute beginners. The next set of tutorials is also being formed. The effects that these tutorials have given are very-very encouraging.* GIMP-JR.K.G.* This set of tutorials gives information on how to use the basic tools available with GIMP. X window problem

Hi Friends, I have installed Linux 7.1 on my disk, from last few days I am unable to access the X window when I login as root, but in case if I login as a normal user then every thing works fine, I went through the xconfigurator, but it also didn't work, I have a backup copy of XF86config, I copied it in the respective folder, but it didn't work I am not much familiar to the prompt, so can any one tell me to get the X window back as a root user, Chalo then Tata, Sunil.
