To, hi linuxers, I want to run some scripts using apache/php which would require root permissions. So how do i use SuExec mechanism of apache in php to gain root permissions. I would prefer examples. Hi, Looking for a text file I had stumbled upon long ago - a first hand account of the discovery of the a worm long ago ... I don't think it was the Morris worm, but I distinctly remember the phrase "you have been nuked", mentioned by the author. I am pretty sure I picked up the URL from a discussion on this list ... really long ago ... maybe three years or so. Anybody remember? Also add the following points:- 1> compare GNU/Linux Movement to Science where access to research documents(here source code) is important for exchange of ideas. Also as in science peer review matters a lot. Exchanges of ideas leads to better and secure software. 2> Also we can talk about cost as it is an consideration for all (students as well as government) Also we can talk about the german and the venezualan governments who have used free s/w to their advantages 3> also corporate successes may be talked about without the doc looking like having a bias towards anyone vendor (even Redhat for that matter). An abstract on Nag's paper about "Why free software matters" 2. The fact that a GNU/Linux user is a member of an entire community 3. Access control on a cvs server????

Hi, I have configured a CVS server(with password authentication using pserver). Is there any decent way of performing access control? I have a repository $CVSROOT/dir1/ within dir1 i have several directories. i want to restrict the users on a per directory basis. How do i do this?
