GmBH -- what is it?

List, I have been trying to find what 'GmBH' is under the context of a bash shell /Linux distro. Most search engines only return the 'financial' term used in Germany (typically) and some countries in EU. (bailout effect? ;) ) None of them return anything pertinent to Linux or GNU or any other FOSS. Could somebody let me know what that is for? (Was it related to an environment variable?) -- Roshan Baladhanvi

[off-topic] Wireless Modem/Router

Dear All, I am planning to take a broadband connection from MTNL Mumbai. But the initial CPE charges that they take seem to be quite high. I read the mails which discussed about the pros & cons of MTNL broadband. Since I am from Delhi, and MTNL has got a good reputation out there, I am going with it. I plan to buy a wireless modem/router of my own before booking the connection. Can you guys suggest some good make/model# of wireless modem/router that work smoothly with both linux and mtnl? Also, I am new in Mumbai, and don't have any idea on the popular places to look out for computer hardware. Thanks Sahil Dave

Bootable Linux CD for Diskcloning.

Hi group ! I have a bunch of computers Linux, Windows , Solaris etc. Are there any lightweight cd bootable distros which can clone the image of the HDD on an external storage and then I can clone it back later or on a different machine with same hardware ? [Problem Solved] unable to type in remington keyboard

I am attaching a modified version of the remington keymap file. Steps to install new hi-remington keymap ---------------------------------------------- 1) Please download the file 2) Open Terminal 3) type following. sudo nautilus /usr/share/m17n/ 4) This will open keymap directory , Paste the downloaded file into this directory 5) Restart Ibus, using right click on ibus keyboard layout indicator icon. If you are unable to locate it. Please restart your system. PS: Once I will get full confirmation of Kyali ji, we will try to push in upsteam. to play .pls in emacs

Dear all....I'm a newcomer to this mailing list.I want some sort of help.When I tried to play a .pls file (it contains urls of radio streams). I'm using Debian Lenny 5.0.4.I've installed mpg123.el,emms and the related entries of my .emacs(dot_emacs) is given below.The dot pls file is attached (require 'emms-setup) (emms-standard) (emms-all) (emms-default-players) (require 'emms-streams) Some other radio streams in my ~/.emacs.d/emms-streams is working when I execute M-x emms-stream-popup and when one stream is selected M-x emms-start It works perfectly. The .pls file works perfectly in Alsaplayer and Totem (not in Emacs).Out of mere curiosity, I was trying to play the file in emacs.The attached radio stream url is in Malayalam.Expecting support of the community...sanal
