Sending HTML mails

I needed to send only text messages to certain persons, but however much i tried to change the setting of my outlook from html to plain text, it would revert back to html and send messages only thorugh html. I later found that i was infected with VBS/Haptime virus due to which this problem occurred. When the system was cleaned, i was able to set it correctly to plain text. ALSA and aRTS

Hello All, I recently installed ALSA drivers from PCQ CD(Aug 2001). After I installed ALSA the system started giving ringing sound. I noticed that if I stop aRTS server I get normal sound again. Basically I prefer aRTS as it blends two simultaneous sound events and plays both at same time. But I prefer ALSA too as default 'sndconfig' driver only plays at 48.8KHz rate. Another problem is if I do not start aRTS and I open 'kmedia' it internally starts aRTS. Also KDE seems to use aRTS if available. What could be the problem? and solution? I use i810(AC97) sound card. Thanks in advance. Amish.

Try 'em both out and see for yourself ;-) Seriously, they are 2 different GUI (I know they are called DE's) interfaces. The primary difference being GNOME is based on Gtk+ and KDE is based on Qt. RHL bootable disk

Hi.... How to create a Linux Bootable Disk in RHL 7.1 I created it during the installation but I'm not able to boot from it. It seems 2 b corrupted. I'm able to boot into linux through LILO ( thanks to all the ppl who helped me in this. The "linux rescue" fanda works. ) but, still I want to create boot disk for safer side. Upgrade system library?

eth0 help wanted

i have RH7.1 installed on my box, recently i tried out a lan card on win. when i tried booting into linux, the startup stalled at "Bringing up eth0" and wont go further. any ideas on how to get to the login prompt without it trying to bring up eth0 Navin

Wvdial is still Starting pppd...

Hello Group In my Redhat Linux 7.1 box wvdial is giving me a problem. After dialing the VSNL ISP and answeing the prompts wvdial dial says starting pppd at so and so time and holds up there. I have to manually disconnect from this point and the connection is not completed. I do all this as a superuser. Please can anybody suggest a solution to the problem?
