Hi, I have 2 boxes with me. One is running windows 2000 pro and other is running Red Hat linux 7.1... I have setup a network between them.. the linux machine has to NICs, eth0 [ internal network ] and eth1 [ cable connection ].... when i ping my windows box from linux, i get good responds... but when i ping my linux box from windows, i get a time out error... my routing tables are correct.... both the systems have the same subnet masks... anyone got any ideas on how to solve this problem? Kunal

hi, I am using Debian (testing) on a kernel 2.4.7, and compiled modules for sound card support .... but I can't get it to work. Three problems that I encounter: 1. no sound 2. aumix complains that mixer support is not compiled into the kernel, but there was no mixer support for the 1371. 3. whenever I move the mouse, I hear a distinct buzzing sound from the speakers. LINUX 7.1 drivers

Pine is not shipped with Debian. Read /usr/doc/DEBIAN-POLICY. >4> How can I install rpms in Debian or will i have to install thru tars? >(need java over here) You can get debian package(.deb) from debian.org and you can install that package with dpkg. keyboard shortcuts in X and/or WMaker

Hi, Recently switched to WindowMaker ... wonderful environment to work in! What I want to know is how to create keyboard short cuts for common apps, so that there is no need to go through the whole process of F12->apps and so on ... KDE & netscape + [OT]Restart Problem

Hello people I have a problem running netscape on kde it gives a segmentation error - core dumped message and exits the queer thing is that it works perfectly with gnome running so how do i solve this problem ? secondly i have started having an [OT] hardware problem every time i restart my computer my keyboard and mouse stop functioning and the computer hangs if windows is default in lilo and the if linux is default in lilo then redhat kudzu the hardware detecting tool starts and offers a list of keyboards to choose from i have to go with the default in lilo as pressing keys has no effect except the capslock, numlock and scrolllock buttons blinking together. also the keyboard is detected as otherwise a "keyboard not detected" error would be given by my bios thanks Aarjav __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
