Hi all, I am doing one R&D and need ur expert help. I have installed and configured PHP-Nuke for our local Intranet, which works very well in my LAN. I also have a modem configured on the same pc, i have a dial-up account with which i connect to the internet. Now after connecting to my ISP i get an IP address, so using the same ip i want to access the intranet from outside world. *** I know that i always have to check the ip address, but that's fine *** Using the ip which i got from my ISP, from my LAN i am able to browse my intranet. I have tried configuring iptables to allow incoming connections on port 80, but i didn't succeed. Please if anyone could help me resolv this issue. Thanking you, Regards, Rajendra Rait.

Line balancing and modem coupling

Hi All Can any one just go through this help me? Aim: To almost double bandwidth by using two dial up modems connected to two DIFFERENT accounts on the SAME ISP. Configuration: 1) 56K Internal Modem. 2) 56K External Modem. 3) PCQ Linux ISP: MTNL/VSNL. Have 2 phone lines under the mtnl unlimited scheme. Would like to team the two to increase my bandwidth. I have tried Multilinking (using same ISP, same Account with WinXP) and it works, but this is NOT what I want. I am looking at modem teaming, which does not require ISP support and apparently can be done on a linux machine.(load balancing). Execute binaries from vfat partition.

Greetings, I was doing an experiment and realized that I cannot execute binaries stored on my vfat partition. The file is owned by the user and have a 755 permission. The /etc/fstab file has "defaults,uid=500,gid=100,users" as the options. "man mount" says the defaults has exec as an option. Any clues how to execute binaries stored on vfat partition? Hi All, We are trying a project with DAM/DAT(Dynamic Address Mapping/Translation) support for linux. The machine should accept any preconfigured systems on the lan side and route them to the WAN (second ethernet port) like NAT. The LAN machines shouldnt be in the same network range (subnet) like the router/DAM machine, but they need to get internet access. Is there a way to implement a mechanism in linux for mapping those (ip- unknown) clients: for example: [ 192.168.1.200 ] \\ [ 10.100.54.7 ] => [ DAM machine LAN side || WAN side PPPoE ] => { Internet } [ 192.168.0.5 ] // All nodes are direct connected via ethernet. Any solutions ? Someone told me earlier theres a way for that to be done with MAC address routing instead of TCP/IP routing. But i didnt find any solutions about Layer2 to Layer3 Routing except any tunnels (or netbios etc). Thanks. Rukman Naik.
