The software updater in Linpus Linux on my AspireOne is giving thee following error msg on trying to update software: Unresolvable requirement redhat-menus for kdelibs Unresolvable requirement libgnome-menu.so.2 for eel2 Unresolvable requirement desktop-backgrounds-basic >= 2.0-4 for nautilus Unresolvable requirement redhat-menus >= 0.25 for nautilus Unresolvable requirement redhat-menus >= 1.11 for htmlview Secondly, the search box has disappeared from the file explorer and desktop. Thanks all, for the responses to my query regarding updating. Right now all my hardware is working fine. Webcam, wireless, usb ports, ethernet, display. I have an ubuntu cd with me but being illiterate has its problems. How will my hardware work with the new distro? Will I have to do command line stuff or is Ubuntu GUI based? Will also check the refs suggested. Thanks again. Ashok Sinha

Dear All, I'm a HighSchool Teacher from Kerala and I would like to know whether there is a package that can be used for conducting Class Tests/Unit Tests. I looked for one such package in Debian Squeeze, but didn't find one.
