Hi
You can also use '-d' command line option in which case the client
doesnt go in background and writes debug information to stdout,
stderr. I dont remember much abt code, you can send the output to me.
Code can be found at http://briefcase.yahoo.com/amishmm
Please also read README.
Also recently the Cyberoam had launched new client and I was
asked to update to new client. So probably they have changed
the protocol. I will try check it in 1 weeks time.

Mitul,
The original code was written by Amish Mehta. It
worked in daemon mode off a console screen. You had
to kill the process to stop it.
I wrote a GTK based X client based on Amish's network
code. However, since I do not have access to a
Cyberoam account, I could not test it, except in
simulation. Kishor Bhagwat has reported some problems
with it.
Anyway, I will e-mail you the code from home tonight.
See if you can debug it and get it to work properly.
If you want the original console daemon code, please
ask Amish for the download details (I think he had a
Yahoo download site, IIRC).
Regards,
Krishnan

Hi Dear Luggers,
Does any one has the cyberoam client (console mode) Source code ...
i guess Mr. Krishnan has made a X Wrapper for the same ...
can any one send me a mail containing it as attachment ...(please send it
to me directly on mitul(a)mitul.com rather then attaching it to this mail and
sending it to the whole list ..)

Has anyone tried magicpoint? Presentation software like powerpoint,
stores data in plain text files, so you can even create your
presentations with vi. Get it at http://www.mew.org/mgp/ or rpmfind or
freshmeat.

What's the bad thing about threads on Linux? How is
multi-threading on Linux different from other OSes?
Tnx.

to mount floppy with linux file system
use mount /dev/fd0
to mount floppy with linux file system
use mount -t msdos /dev/fd0
The other filesystems you can try out yourself.
after mounting the device go to the directory
cd /mnt/floppy
this is the usual directory. It could be different. Check your /etc/fstab.

I ran your scripts it on RHL 6.2 no probs absolutely. However, it changed my
name server to 192.168.0.1 where it earlier was 192.168.1.1
I am able to send remote mails but my local mails get stuck in the queue.

Noel.

Hi again,
well in my network settings there is no gateway specified ..
in my tcp/ip settings DHCP is enabled .. (win2000) so its obtaining the ip
adress & DnS server automatically ..
>From what you say, i think the server has disabled you from getting any

--> ya rite .. but there must be a way out .. atleast some how i could be able
to telnet outside ..
i tried to go on a website which has a telnet applet which i can access from
the browser & then connect to another server but even that aint working ..

& every time i start my browser & give a URL ..squid asks me for a login &
passwd which is similar to the official mail id i have as squid & the mail
server r running on the same server.. is there any way i could bypass that
authorization or save the passwd .. coz in win2000 the "remember passwd"
& "save passwd" really doesnt save it for the next use..
huh..

you cannot ping to any outside address ? connect to any website?
can you ping other machines in your network.
You should set up your client to point to port 8080 of your gateway.

use the same port for your messenger.

uh huh. From what you say, i think the server has disabled you from getting any
outside access. check your gateway settings if they are proper.

Noel.

as root you have to edit the file /etc/xinetd.d/telnet
and replace disable=yes to disable=no and restart the xinetd by
service
xinetd restart.
